U.S. & International CD Reviews
MAGNETS!
Reviewer: Stage Magazine (Nederlands)

"Magnets!

Reviewer: Joan Cartwright (U.S.)

If you know the musician(s), it makes for more excitement when you listen to
the music. Kim Clarke is a premiere bassist who's paid her proverbial dues.
She doesn't do what she doesn't want to do. So, her decision to join these
Portland musicians had to be based upon love. It's evident in the music,
popping with energized funk. The mellow tones were just what the doctor ordered
for me, today, mellow like Coltrane, present and alive. Dun dun, clack, dun,
dun, clack. This music sits on your ear like a sweet kiss and remains there
long after it's stopped playing. Dun, dun, clack, ba doo ba dillia doo ba dee
doo da. Swingessentially funky, smoothe like a waterfall!
